It was an atmosphere of joy and jubilation filled with emotions as the acting DCG Katherine Ekekezie handed the staff of the office to the new ACG. Modupe Aremu as the Zonal Coordinator Zone “A”.
The acting Deputy Comptroller General, Katherine Ekekezie has attributed her success to God and capable lieutenants while serving as the Zonal Coordinator Zone A.
She stated this at the official handing over to the new ACG Modupe Aremu at the Nigeria Customs Office, Harvey road, Yaba Lagos.
In her farewell speech, she expressed joy stating that “I am not only handing over the leadership of Zone “A” to a colleague but also to a sister”.
She also appreciated Zone A officers for their support and cooperation throughout her stay in the Zone.
While thanking the Ag. DCG, ACG Aremu said she was not surprised at her elevation because it is well deserved.
Comptroller Sani Madugu in his vote of thanks described the outgoing Zonal Coordinator as a giver.
The short event was wrapped up with a group photograph.
She finally bade the Zonal Headquarters goodbye in preparation to steer the Department of Excise, Free Trade Zone and Industrial Incentives domiciled at Customs Headquarters Abuja.
